I’m mad at Venmo

Venmo is requiring customers send in a binding arbitration opt-out notice by mail. They won’t let you do it over email or by phone (I’ve tried).

In light of this, I gave Venmo a choice: either they accept my electronic opt-out notice, or I close my account and say mean things about them on the internet.

Since they wouldn’t accept it, I am now closing my account.

Venmo was nice because everyone knew about it and it was easy to collect money from friends and acquaintances for bar tabs, but I now think it is more important to insist that people pay with Monero. I look forward to the next time someone asks me if I have Venmo because they want to pay me so I can unload my Monero spiel on them.
